Research. Thallium is a metal that is easily and rapidly absorbed
by ingestion, inhalation or through the skin. Large doses over a short
period can affect the nervous system, lung, heart, kidney and liver. Acute
exposure can have a number of significant health effects and can result
in death, Chronic exposure is also associated with numerous potentially
